Good old maths problems

“How do I reduce
(2s^2+5)/(s^2+3s+2) to 2+((-6s+1)/(s+1)(s+2))?”
My Soln:to reduce (2s^2 + 5 )/s^2 + 3s + 2
=> {(2s^2 + 6s + 4) + (-6s +1)} / s^2+3s+2
=> 2 *(s^2 + 3s + 2) + (-6s +1)} / (s^2 + 3s + 2)
=> 2 + (-6s + 1)/(s^2 + 3s + 2)
=>2 + (-6s + 1)/(s^2 + 2s + s + 2)
=>2 + (-6s + 1)/(s(s+2) + 1*(s + 2))
=>2 + (-6s + 1)/(s+1)*(s+2) [ no thumb rules, jus practice..]
felt really good solving a mathematics problem after a long time.. good old maths problems..
